Charset Encoding

Documents publish in html or plain text and transmit with HTTP should set a charset parameter that specifies the character encoding of the document.

Example: –
<meta http-equiv= "Content-Type" content= "text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" >
The HTML document is defined to English (Western iso-8859-1 standard) Charset.

<meta http-equiv= "Content-Type" content= "text/html; charset=UTF-8" >
The HTML document is defined to the UTF-8 Charset in a mixture of English and other language's character in Unicode -
e.g How are you? 你好嗎？ (Chinese characters in Unicode)
will be rendered as How are you? 你好嗎？
or just the language's character in Unicode: 我很好！
this will be rendered as 我很好！

Web browsers rendering Character Encoding

Latest version of Web Browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera … support Character Set & Character encodings depending on the language supported by the OS ( Operation System ). See International language support for PC

These browsers are capable of displaying webpages in different languages.
You can set Character Encoding to Auto-Detect or manual select the language from "View" on the menu bar in Firefox.
Or set Encoding to Auto-Select or manual select the language from "View" on the menu bar in Internet Explorer.
